The combination creates a harmonious blend that tantalizes the taste buds, making it a perfect addition to your repertoire of appetizers or main courses. These turkey meatballs are easy to prepare and boast a dynamic profile that will leave a lasting impression on your loved ones or guests.

Ground turkey forms the foundation of these meatballs. The addition of breadcrumbs, milk, finely chopped onion, and fresh cilantro creates a medley of textures and aromas. The binding agent, a single egg, brings everything together while contributing to the moist and tender nature of the meatballs. Seasoned with salt and pepper, the turkey mixture has set the stage for the star of the show – a generous cup of Ezra Cohen Montreal’s cranberry chipotle zalsa.

Ezra Cohen Montreal’s Cranberry + Chipotle Zalsa with Turkey Meatballs

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup of Ezra Cohen Montreal’s Cranberry + Chipotle Zalsa

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, milk, chopped onion, cilantro, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix thrououghly until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
  2. Shape the meat mixture into meatballs (about 1 tbsp) and place each of them on a baking sheet. You can spray the pan with oil or butter or line it with parchment paper.
  3. Bake the meatballs in the oven for about 22-25 minutes, or until they are cooked through and golden brown.
  4. Once they are cooked, transfer them to a serving bowl and pour the cranberry chipotle zalsa over them.
  5. Gently toss the meatballs in Ezra Cohen Montreal’s Cranberry Chipotle Zalsa. Ensure they are well coated.
  6. Serve the Cranberry Chipotle Turkey Meatballs as an appetizer, or for a main dish, with a side or rice and slices of avocado.

Casablanca Chili From Ezra Cohen Montreal

In the spirit of the year’s two biggest holidays looming on the horizon, our very own Ezra Cohen, McGill University graduate and known food lover, has shared his vision for creating a healthy dish that can be enjoyed by the entire family.

Cooking large-scale meals for family holidays, like Christmas and Thanksgiving, is extremely exhausting, and sometimes takes more than an entire day! Since these gatherings are supposed to be focused more around family, sharing, and celebrating another year conquered, we wanted to share a recipe for our Casablanca Chili, but with a twist.

Casablanca Chili

We want you to put our all-natural Ezra Cohen peanut butter in chili! Yes, you read that correctly, we want you to use our nut butters in the chili, and let us say, it’s a game-changing elevation of traditional chili recipes. Keep reading below to discover how to craft this unique dish.

 

Here’s What You’ll Need

  • 3 cups cooked ham, cut into one-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1 (9 ounces) package mango chutney
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons Ezra Cohen peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1 (15 ounces) can chickpeas, rinsed and drained
  • 1 (16 ounces) can chili beans in spicy sauce
  • 2 (10 ounces) cans diced tomatoes with green chile peppers
  • Large Saucepan or Dutch Oven

Here’s How It’s Done

  1. Pre-heat on low, an extra-large saucepan or Dutch Oven
  2. Combine the diced ham, brown sugar, allspice, mango chutney, lime juice, and Ezra Cohen all-natural nut butter into the pan, stirring well until contents are thoroughly mixed
  3. Increase heat slightly, and then add the chili beans, chickpeas, raisins, and diced tomatoes, again stirring thoroughly to fully mix ingredients
  4. Raise temperature to medium-high heat, stirring continuously for 15-20 minutes, or until the mixture is heated through
  5. If needed, allow chili to cool for a couple of minutes, before serving

It’s a pretty simple recipe for an explosive result, and if following the above steps, you’ll be left with about 6 servings once it’s all said and done. The entire process, from prep to cooking, shouldn’t take you more than 30 minutes; this is a family-sized meal in less than an hour! We want everyone to enjoy the upcoming holidays, without the stresses of feeding everyone.
