Breakfast quesadillas made with nut butter instead of cheese are warm, gooey, and an oh-so-satisfying way to start your day. They’re also super easy to adapt to whatever you’re craving (or just whatever happens to be in the fridge). We’ve shared six of our favorite ways to make them below, but feel free to get creative and doctor them however you want. With a jar of Ezra Cohen Montreal nut butter and your favorite toppings, there’s really no way to go wrong.
How to Make Breakfast Quesadillas
These are one of the easiest breakfasts around, requiring just a few ingredients and a skillet.
To do it, take your Ezra Cohen Montreal nut butter and spread it evenly over two 8-inch whole wheat tortillas. Place a skillet large enough to hold the tortillas over medium heat and spray with cooking spray. Once warm, place one tortilla in the skillet with the nut butter side facing up. Place your desired toppings on the tortilla, then top with the other tortilla, nut butter side down. Cook your quesadilla for three minutes on each side, or until the tortilla is lightly browned and the nut butter on the inside is melty.
When finished, remove your quesadilla from the pan and slice and serve. Breakfast quesadillas are great on their own, or you can dip them in whole fat yogurt for added creaminess and a protein boost.
